Atmospheres and Architectural Interpretation of a Poem by Joséphine Bacon: A Series of Collages

"A thematic studio dedicated to building reconciliation with Québec First Nations through thoughtful design and architecture."

This series of collages is inspired by the poetic landscapes of Joséphine Bacon, an acclaimed Innu writer whose work deeply reflects the connection between her people and their land. Each collage is an interpretation of the atmospheres and emotions evoked in her poetry, exploring themes of land, memory, and ancestral ties.

Through layered imagery and textures, these collages aim to visually capture the essence of Bacon’s words, translating her poetic exploration of place and identity into an architectural narrative. The collages reflect not only the beauty of the land but also the complexities of heritage, loss, and resilience embedded within it.

Une terre nue
